CIA or KGB
Topic: Intelligence
The rapid unexplained resignation of Porter Goss as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency has raised a number of doubts in my mind. I have a few suppositions as to why it happened, and they are scary.

I think that Director Goss had a few disagreements with John Negroponte who was appointed above him in a newly formed position as Bush’s choice as the first Director of National Intelligence. My fears are that Goss did not like and did not condone the action instituted by Negroponte setting up the probably illegal warrant less spying carried on against American Citizens in George W. Bush’s supposed War on Terror, which I rate as just slightly more pressing than Bush’s investigation of White House Leaks of Valerie Plaime’s CIA role. And we all know that investigation ended just seconds after it was started.

In my opinion the reason Porter Goss was forced to resign is that John Negroponte, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld all think that George W. Bush has the right to break as many laws as he wants to sustain his asinine agenda. And Porter Goss does not share their opinion, and therefore he was told, Change your mind or Resign.

I must admit that this course is a little easier than it was with Adolph Hitler or Joe Stalin. When Hitler or Stalin found out that you did not agree with them, your wife became your widow shortly thereafter. And to the best of my knowledge Porter Goss and his family are still alive.

But now Gen. Michael V. Hayden, someone that will support the idea that GW can break all the laws he wants, just because he says he has the right, will replace Goss. Now the Feds claim they have the right to listen to your phone calls, they are trying to have access to your computer memory and Internet use, and I would not be too surprised if they were to come around and ask for a key to your Front Door, claiming they would only use it to check for crooks while you were not at home. Scary isn’t it?
