Topic: Botched Joke
I am getting tired of the Political Pundits of hashing over the joke that John Kerry botched up. They are all claiming that this means that Senator Kerry and the entire Democratic Party do not care for the United States Military or the people that serve in it, and nothing could be further from the truth.
This is a ridiculous partisan take on a failed attempt by Sen. Kerry to try to make light of an existing situation of the extended failures in Iraq caused by the Bush Administration that are causing the extended deployment and redeployment of the same troops who so proudly served their assignment in the Iraqi War Zone, some for the third time.
If screwing up of a joke, is a fair assessment of the joke teller’s level of mentality and their true feelings about any particular subject. let us look at one of the jokes that George W. Bush screwed up while making a speech in Tennessee that has been played many times on national TV. You’ve probably seen it a number of times. The joke is a very simple joke that consists of two lines, and a total of twelve words, none longer than five letters. And Georgie could nor remember them.
As I watched Dubya stumble and stammer trying to remember the second line it became obvious to me that Bush’s problem was not that he could not remember the joke, but that he is so dense he had no idea what the point of the joke was all about. I also recall thinking that the punch line of the joke had very little to do with the speech he was trying to give at that time. It is not really a very good joke anyway, and is more condemning of the level perception of the person telling the joke than anything else.
The fact that the President of these United States, said to be the most powerful man on the planet, cannot remember and deliver a simple twelve word joke, is in fact a shame to the entire population of this great country, as is so well stated in the joke itself.
The joke Dubya was trying to tell is:
“Fool me once, Shame on you,
Fool me twice, Shame on me.”
The point of the joke is that almost anyone can be duped into being fooled once, but to fall for the same thing a second time indicates that you failed to perceive that you were suckered the first time, and fell for the same joke the second time.
Even though I still believe that both elections were fixed and both were actually won by Gore and Kerry, George W. Bush was appointed President in 2000, Shame on him. But in 2004 after the votes were manipulated in Ohio, Bush was re-elected for the second term.
Shame on us
