I do not know why the politicians can’t figure out how to create the jobs that are needed right now to help end the Recession we are in. I could easily put millions of people to work in a matter of days, including Illegal Immigrants.
I would start tomorrow, using a portion of the $819 Billion fund that President Obama is trying to spend, and start building a 1969-mile triple layer fence across our Southern Border. Since all the material is not already manufactured, there would be lots of work in existing and newly created Manufacturing Facilities to manufacture the necessary pieces and parts that would be needed. Then we would need trucks and truck drivers to transport the material to the job site. We would also need to build Barracks type living quarters and Chow Halls to house and feed the workers, preferably structures similar to Quonset Huts, which are easy to build and easily removed when their task has been completed. Then we would have the out of work Americans build the center and northern portions of the fence, and the Illegal Immigrants work on the Southern section. And when the job is completed, the workers could just turn away from the fence and go home.
That would work toward partially solving six problems, Putting people to work so they could pay their mortgages and help end the Housing Crisis, Collecting Income Taxes that the Government needs to help pay off the Deficit, Getting the Illegal Immigrants out of the country without costly deporting costs, Slowing down the amount of Illegal Drugs that are crossing our border, and sealing our border from Terrorists.
Then as an added bonus we could erect Wind Turbine towers between the center and northern Fence Sections providing the Renewable Energy Electric Power, as well as electrifying the Center Fence to Deter Foreign Invaders from attacking this great country.
